Helping a trade union explore barriers to private-sector growth to drive media attention and guide positioning

Djøf

"Growth is not just about GDP and the bottom line. Growth is about people, new ideas, good leadership and a strong working life. That, to me, is responsible value creation – and that is what strenghtens Danish resilience in an uncertain world." – Anne Waagstein, Chair of Djøf Private

Need

In an effort to more clearly identify the needs of their private-sector membership base, Djøf wanted to understand the most pressing barriers to growth and competitiveness for Danish companies.

Solution

We identified key pain points for private companies, the major ones being red tape, insufficient qualified labour, lack of entrepreneurial spirit, and geopolitical unrest.

Process

Using a combination of algorithmic and human intelligence, we structured thousands of free-form text input from private-sector employees and extracted key themes and patterns. The analysis was used in an outdoor ad campaign and was up for panel discussion at Djøf Festival 2025, earning Djøf media appearances. This reinforced their private-sector division as a clear champion of the Danish business sector.
